- It protects the suspension, as the rear shock absorber does not need to be compressed to ensure a secure hold,
- it minimises strain on the exhaust or any motorcycle cases that may be present, and
- The Acebikes CapStrap System allows relatively rigid lashing directly to the rear hub with short tension belts. This reduces the settling tendency (loosening/stretching of the straps) caused by movements during transport compared to conventional lashing to the frame, where long straps are attached to the frame and the suspension is compressed.
