Ilmberger uses pre-impregnated carbon fibre matrices for the high-quality carbon. The fibre volume is carefully calibrated, and the alignment of individual fibre layers is defined. The matrix is then hand-laminated without air bubbles and coated twice with a protective layer. The additional clear coat not only protects but also enhances the three-dimensional effect of the carbon structure. After curing in the autoclave, the carbon components meet the highest standards and withstand the toughest demands.
This aerospace material boasts up to 70% weight savings compared to the standard part and fully utilises its potential with its weight-specific stiffness. The shape always follows the function and integrates perfectly into the motorcycle's design. The lines of the respective machine, as well as the material and surface texture of adjacent standard components, are taken into consideration.
