Our stylishly designed ULTIMATE engine guard stands out from the original silver version thanks to its extended lateral protection area and its availability in black.

The functional design and structural integration of our ULTIMATE engine guard protect the engine housing, oil pan, and exhaust headers. It fits so snugly around the engine that not only is the frontal impact area optimised, but the ground and lean angle clearance remain virtually unchanged. The shape of the guard reduces the risk of unpleasant leverage or snagging in off-road conditions, whether caused by branches, rubble, or rocks. Openings ensure that water collected during river crossings can drain freely.

Our engine guard ULTIMATE, designed in Tool Design, differs from the original silver version with its extended lateral protection area and its black finish. An additional advantage of this engine guard is that it deflects splashing water thrown up in waves downward, significantly reducing thermal stress on the engine housing, exhaust headers, and seals, especially when the engine is hot.

The complex shape and geometry of the component are the result of optimising material thickness and weight, while achieving high structural rigidity and mechanical stability. The result is a durable, weight- and form-optimised engine guard that fits so snugly and organically around the engine that the design principle of "form follows function" becomes evident. The recessed screws provide no surface for impact and perfectly complement the edge-design adventure look.

The high-quality engine guard is securely fastened using precise mounting points already available on the vehicle. External forces and moments are distributed across the mountings to reduce peak loads and moments. Vibrations are effectively absorbed. Typical for Wunderlich, the design ensures unrestricted accessibility for maintenance tasks: for example, a dedicated opening is included for unobstructed oil drainage.
