Facts and Product Features of Wunderlich Suspension powered by TracTive eS2 PRO PDS Shock Absorbers
The eS2 shock absorber line is an integrated, modular retrofit solution. Except for the standard electric spring preload (EPA), all other components are replaced by TracTive high-performance components.
For extreme use: The PRO variant. Extra-strong, integrated, adaptive, electronically controlled and regulated high-performance shock absorber of the latest generation as an upgrade or replacement for the stock suspension. Developed for the highest demands of ambitious adventure riders who frequently go off-road, touring riders who travel with heavy loads, and riders who desire extra safety reserves. With PDS bottoming-out protection system.
The exceptional performance of this shock absorber is convincing. It can be connected electronically to the motorcycle via plug & play solution without further adjustments. The desired riding mode can be selected and set conveniently using the handlebar controls.
We select the spring rate of the spring based on your personal ride profile specifications.
- Damping Characteristics
- Our shock absorbers are specially developed for each vehicle and purpose, offering high performance and impressive reserves.
- The well-balanced, sensitive damping behavior of our suspension components ensures neutral and predictable handling, fostering confidence in your own motorcycle and enhancing personal riding pleasure.
- The shock absorbers excel with outstanding transparent feedback, optimizing tire-road grip, wheel control, and stability while reducing tire wear.
- The shock absorber is equipped with the patented TracTive DDA damping valve (Dynamic Damping Adjustment), which impresses with its convincing damping dynamics and impressive performance, taking responsiveness to a whole new level.
- The DDA damping valve is fully compatible with the motorcycle's control unit and processes its control signals.
- Compared to stock suspension, the DDA valve has a larger adjustment range and regulates much faster, with 6-10 milliseconds.
- Individual damping adjustment: The high-quality shock absorber features high and low-speed compression damping adjustment, meaning the compression damping can be adjusted depending on the speed of the compression stroke (or the speed at which the damping piston moves during the stroke).
- The shock absorber is equipped with a PDS system, which reduces the risk of bottoming out and the associated stress from hard hits during extreme use.
- The DDA damping valve, the PDS system, and the extensive options for individual compression damping adjustment meet the highest demands of adventure and touring riders. They noticeably enhance comfort and safety and can help reduce frame stress.
- To achieve optimal and sensitive responsiveness,
- the oil channels are generously sized to minimize oil flow resistance,
- we use pistons with a large diameter (46 mm),
- as well as low-friction seals and special shim stacks.
- These closed shock absorbers feature an external forged aluminum reservoir, which enhances thermal stability performance through optimal heat dissipation.
- The generous oil quantity and large cooling surface ensure
- a low, optimal oil operating temperature,
- resulting not only in stable performance at the highest level,
- but also in a longer lifespan of the shock absorber and oil.
- Spring Characteristics and Preload
- Integrated standard electric spring preload (EPA): Except for the standard electric spring preload system (EPA) of your motorcycle, all other components are replaced by TracTive high-performance components.
- The operation of the standard EPA remains unchanged.
- PRO
- The PRO shock absorbers are the best shock absorbers for extreme use. They are built even more robustly, and their responsiveness is optimized due to the selected components and low-friction seals. The following features distinguish the PRO shock absorbers:
- Shock absorber body made of steel
- Bearing bushes made of stainless steel
- Special low-friction seals with additional backup ring
- Tuning
- Special Wunderlich Suspension tuning for adventure and touring riders with high demands on their suspension.
- Customization
- We select the spring rate of the spring based on your personal ride profile specifications: After choosing your shock absorber, simply determine your personal specifications during the ordering process. These serve as the basis for selecting the appropriate spring for you.
- Maintenance
- Each shock absorber can be professionally serviced at the Wunderlich Suspension Center.
- The suspension tool is included in the scope of delivery.
